​About TheraBoost

TheraBoost is developing an engineered biomaterial platform to address critical challenges in the supply chain of cell and gene therapies (CGTs). By leveraging the unique properties of rationally designed biomaterials, TheraBoost aims to improve the manufacturing, transport, and scalability of these advanced therapies.

Our goal is to ensure that life-saving CGTs, which are rapidly emerging as transformative treatments for severe diseases and regenerative medicine, can reach patients more reliably, efficiently, and at scale, while aligning with Portuguese and European innovation priorities.

Why TheraBoost?


The CGT supply chain is complex and fragile, requiring careful coordination across all stages from cell collection to patient delivery. Even small losses in cell viability during manufacturing or transport can jeopardize treatment success, increase costs, and limit patient access.
